Special publicationsNature Viewing Sites in and around Saskatoon This 1992 publication, edited by Peter Jonker and Bernie Gollop, was updated in 2000. It offers information about many of the special places in and around the city of Saskatoon where the natural landscape and the creatures that inhabit it can be studied and enjoyed. Nineteen sites are described in the book's 122 pages, complete with a detailed map and information on the landscape, plants, birds, mammals, conspicuous insects, reptiles and amphibians. Directions and a suggested itinerary are included for each site. The appendices contain comprehensive lists of the birds, mammals, butterflies, amphibians and reptiles known in the area and a selected list of 200 plant species.
